Meet Joe Regal

Well friends, I have something pretty big to tell you. Since I first started writing at the tender, nerdy age of 16, since the moment I completed the unreadable 1000-page fantasy epic that kickstarted my life of writing, I've been dreaming of the day a literary agent would look my way, pick up my book, take it out into the big scary world and get it published.

Please welcome Mr. Joe Regal of Regal Literary. As of today, Joe is my agent. He sold The Time Traveler's Wife. Now he's going to sell Warm Bodies.

There've been alot of crazy, unexpected, pleasant surprises happening with this book lately, alot of "icing", but Joe--and getting the book published--is the cake. I'm...really really excited.

More news to follow...

  1. I'm so excited for you! I adored Warm Bodies and it was the last book I really got into.
I'll probably buy a second copy when it's republished.
    Ah, so happy for you!

  2. Excellent! Well done Mr. Marion, it's about friggin' time.

I won't wish you any form of success 'cause you don't need any luck there. Well done. One day my kids will say "Dad! We had to read Isaac Marion's The Inside in class today. We have to write a stupid essay on how messed up the main character is..." I'll sit them down, look them in the eye and say, "Kids, Isaac is an amazing writer, and it's a shame the fact that this book was homework has ruined it for you." I'll then pull out my (pristine) copy of Warm Bodies and say, "This book was one of the first 100 produced. It and The Inside are my favourite books of all time. Read it again, you'll enjoy it. Promise" Then they'll skitter off to bed and I'll look at it longingly...

    Enjoy the fame!

  9. Finally! New York Times Best Sellers list better just watch out, zombies are coming! :D

I hope you won't mind that part of my enthusiasm is less than altruistic - I've always wanted to be able to say "yeah, that famous guy, I read his stuff before he was big" and it'll make my copy of Warm Bodies a collector's item (though crap, that means I have to find some way to take good care of it.) :P I truly am hopeful for your success, though, even for your own sake. :D

  13. CONGRATS! In a not-so-distant future, I hope I can buy a brazilian portuguese version of Warm Bodies.

And how's that "The Inside" publishing? Going well too, or it'll be on library shelves later as your first book, kinda like "The Hobbit".
